New York. Merry Xmas everyone!

GREETINGS FROM THE BIG ASS APPLE,
NEW YORK, NEW YORK IS AMAZING, IT'S BIG, IT'S COLD & JUST LIKE THE MOVIES! YELLOW CABS AND XMAS CAROLING WITH DECOS ON ALL THE WINDOWS.

We  arrived in NY without realising how cold it really was, i arrived with slight African tan, track pants, T-shirt & thongs & looking outside the window, the weather didn't look too cold with blue sky & sun, however when i seen my very cute dad rugged up in shirt, jumper, ski jacket & a cute little Beani waving at the arrival gate i knew the weather was cold (it was freezing), we went out for breakfast (my god the meals are massive and the units are big) & Maureen took us around NY city that night, my family live right in Manhattan close walking distance to every shopping mall (Lisas Maceys) & famous sights like central park is only 5min walk away.  We went to the museum of natural history and had a new york side stand hot digedy dog. Cheese on tap is in the shops but id rather not.
Although it's cold everyone looks great dressed up in their winter gear, fur coats and leopard print jackets & it dosn't seem to bother anyone that its soooo cold.
The shops are nothing like at home, it's exactly like what you see on t.v, xmas carols, myer xmas windows in every window & over the top xmas decorations all over he city.
My Dad was surprised by my uncle Geriod from Ireland who made the Xmas trip to NY even better, we miss everyone at this time & wish you were all here.
We have spent most of our time with our family & haven't really explored the City yet  but we still have another week, we might even make our way to Niagra Falls!
We also wen't to my Aunt Anne's work xmas party & met all of her wotk collegue's, who seemed very excited to meet two Aussies from "MELBOuRNE" we felt like we have worked at her company for 30 years.
Today is Xmas & we are heading to my Aunt's house for xmas lunch/dinner, where the entire family will be! Wine, fosters, bud beer and plenty of food should make it a big party.
MERRY XMAS AND ALL THE BEST LE & AZ.

Africa udate & leaving for NY

Hi Everyone, We are having heaps of fun & managed to get stuck at JBerg because of the "Big Freeze in London", our flight got cancelled & we got free accommodation in a 5 star hotel with free everything.
We seen the BIG 5 & got to hug a baby rhino, pat a cheetah & feed a wild vulcher in a Wild animal rehab centre.  We seen a Pride of 14 Lions laying on the road during our night game drive in Kruger n.p & seen our first leopard on the side of the road.  we have seen everything we wanted to see in Africa & is defiantly the best place we have ever seen, it's completely different to any country.
The Devils Pool at Victoria falls & the Okvango delta was our highlight along with witnessing the wild animals, meeting amazing people & visiting our drivers family village as we are the only group to have ever been there (the real South Africa).
Finally got through to dad & rearranged our pick up date & time in Africa because the hotel didn't allow mobile calls & the internets were down.  Looking forward to meeting everyone in NY and the rest of out trip.

Miss you all Love Le & Az

THE BIG 5

We have just witnessed the most amazing sighting of 15 Lions surrounding our game drive truck, they were so bloody big! We have successfully now spotted the wild big 5 of Africa Rhino, Lion, Buffalo, Elephant & Leopard. We have stayed with a local community family & heading to the wild life rehab centre.  The people are great & made heaps of friends. Please keep us updated & take care.

ZAMBIA

Hi,
Just went white water rafting in the Zambezi river in grade 5 rapids (our boat capsized & Lisa went overboard & Aaron got stuck under the boat, very scary but fun!
The tour group we are traveling with are fun & we have made some great friends.
Lisa got really sick on a 5 seated scenic plane trip over the Okvango Delta, however managed to see the amazing the big 5 (minus the Lion).
Victoria Falls is the best we have ever seen & Africa is the best country we have ever seen.
The FOOD is great & Lisa has even eaten camp pasta and  we tried some impala game & the weather is HOT.
Sorry we can't phone because the only phone we have come across hasn't worked & on time schedules when we come across a computer.
Miss you all

Fw: quick update

Hi All,

All is well, having the time of our lives.

Spent the night camping in the okvan delta where we had zebras visit or camp site, went for a game bush walk, went swimming in the delta, 2 hrs canoe ride along the delta & many game drives.  Been extremely close to wild animals & during our drives to the next country we pass endless wild elephants, zebras, donkey's, monkeys & heaps more.  We have been having the time of our lives & already experienced so much, the African people are extremely nice & feel very safe.  We are now in Zambia & looking forward to going white water rafting & going to the devils pool, we also seen the amazing Victoria Falls & going on a night tour to seen it at night.  Sorry for the lack of communication, because we are camping (YES LISA IS CAMPING) in some remote areas without computers or phones.

love you all le & az
